DETROIT HAS ANGELS NUMBER
The Detroit Tigers opened up a can of whoop *** on Irvin Santana and the Angels beating them by the score of 12 to 0 taking the rubber game of a three game series. The Tigers are a very good offensive team but, I think something else might be at play. I think the Tigers have decoded the pitching signs of the Angels. I could see Detroit jumping on Irvin's pitches knowing that he struggles on the road. But they also hit BARTOLO COLON hard. John Lackey also struggled before being pulled after the fifth inning of the opener. To be on the safe side, I think the Angels need to change the signs they use when pitching to Detroit. Something is tipping them off. Maybe it's the catchers? I don't know !
Now it's on to New York to face the Yankees. I bet the Yankees wish the Angels relievers had pitched today like Scot Schields and Frankie Rodriguez instead of getting the day off.
Jered Weaver goes tomorrow for the Halos. Hopefully he can stop the bleeding.
What I hated most today about the 12 to 0 loss to Detroit wasn't the 12 runs the pitching gave up, it was the 0 runs scored. Being shut out isn't something the Angels want to get in the habit of.
Go get em Halos !!! ( ANGEL RECORD 28 WINS - 20 LOSES )
